Friendly phone calls for new students

If you were lucky enough to receive an offer to study at La Trobe this year, then chances are you also scored a cheery welcome call from a fellow student.

Student ambassadors at all the University’s campuses hit the phones during January to congratulate newcomers on their decision to study at La Trobe.

Ambassadors used their own experience to talk new students through the enrolment process, as well as sharing pearls of wisdom about university life.

We went behind-the-scenes to watch Outdoor Education student Stacey calling her soon-to-be classmate, Richard.

Stacey said everyone she spoke to was ready and raring to start their La Trobe journey.

“They’re really excited, just wanting to get into it and do it, and get out bush,” she said.

Plan your O-week.
